Shooting children is immensely gratifying as much as it is a challenge to capture their (dynamic) innocence!These images are from the last weekend, where devotees in thousands gather to celebrate their reverence for the 'Devi', the Hindu mother goddess Bhagawathi,at the 'Chikkara Kottikkal' festival, in Kanichukulangara Devi temple, not far from Kochi. Young girls are dressed as the goddess and it is believed that many a present and future problems that the child may face are resolved.

A pallete painted in the yellows of the flowering mustard fields is the essence of this festival. A 'chaddar' is taken through the neighbourhood, brought to the dargah of #hazratnizamuddin Auliya and finally placed at the tomb of #sufi poet #amirkhusro, all this amidst rich #quawali.

Despite low light and fast paced movement, the shoot was a breeze, going upto 120 FPS in Raw format when needed, to capture some of the nuanced moments. The Alpha9II leaves very few reasons to miss a shot!!
